well, let's see. i've re-contacted a very long time no see friend by the name of han. hmm. he's been really nice! and guess what? he completed the song that he wrote, for me i think. haha. ego,ego. anyways. he's been really sweet to me and im meeting up with him on wednesday. he's going in to the army on friday! gosh. that's like so fast. evn my mum was saying that time flew. apparently, i did tell my mum about him. yeah. my comp is lagging like crazy~ why? don't do this to me~~~

haha. anyways, im going out with cerlyn tomorrow, han on wed and jialin on thurs before her birthday. oh! isn't life so exciting?

This song was definitely written for the author of this blog, "I Think The World Is Messed Up And Screwed", just to reaffirm her thoughts. Some things that you, as the reader, should know about this song...

The song was written about 2 years ago. Back then, I had a hard time coming up with a suitable melody for it. I didn't know why, but initial style of melody I had for this song was one that was more... mellow-melancholy, if you know what I mean. I tried many times, over the span of the 2 years, trying hard to come up with a satisfactory melody to suit the words, but to no avail. Somehow, I just wasn't pleased with the feel. And oddly, I never thought about changing the style of the melody I intended. Until now.

I picked up the guitar once again, and sat in front of the computer, strumming away. Somehow, very naturally, the melody that came out from my mouth was one that was upbeat, cheery and chirpy [literally, if you hear the trial recording I did].

The lyrics of the song came from the inspiration that filled me when she... first agreed. The intention of the song is to show how much God has given us so much in life that makes things beautiful, that brings a smile to our face. But especially, that He has placed in my life a lovely lady such as her, that really means more than all the beauty and wonders of nature. In life, God has been there through it all, and has given me so much to be thankful for, but leading me towards this path to meet her? That was the... peak of it all.
